Convenient location in the middle of Madrid. The room and especially the bathroom were beyond the expectations for the price that was paid. Clean and spacious with a modern interior.

It didn't bother me, but the old staircase made quite some noise, I can imagine that it could annoy people.

Very enjoyable, we are sure to return.

Helpful and efficient reception staff. Room fully renovated, comfortable, surprisingly spacious. The location is brilliant, in a quiet street but only a few steps from a great selection of bars and restaurants, and walking distance to the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia museums.

The only suggestion is to replace the towels which are a bit old, and to provide bath mats. When we asked at reception they gave us an extra hand towel to use as a bath mat, explaining that mats are not normally provided. But the next morning the room cleaners changed the towels and did not replace the extra one.

I liked that they cleaned the rooms everyday and did our beds everyday! the staff was super friendly!

I didn’t like that they didn’t dust the floors or the room. My allergies were going crazy!

There are no double beds and the single beds together are always splitting up. The mattress was just ok. It’s possible to hear all the noises from the shower and toilet from other rooms. A lot can be done to improve noise canceling.

Conveniently located, good value if you do not have massive expectations

The location is very convenient and central, the room was clean and the shower was spacious

The room was very small for 4 people and there was very limited space for luggages. The window was facing an internal patio communicating with other rooms - you could not let the window open otherwise people would have seen inside but the air exchange within the room was quite limited.

Definitely 8/10, would, stay there again. You get what you paid for.

Hotel Lisboa was a tiny yet cozy place with a lovely staff. It is located in the city center next to the restaurants and only a few minutes from the main square or Prado museum. It is an immaculate and elegant place — a good experience. You get exactly what should be expected for such a cheap price in the capital city center, and we were even positively surprised. Very clean, modern, with a nice style.

Not that much! There are maybe max three >>minor<< disadvantages. The ladies in the reception were not speaking English fluently; however, we could feel the determination to make sure that we understood everything. There were a bit of guessing and a bit of Spanish involved, as well as a lot of hand gestures, yet we feel that they did their job. We didn't feel left out. The second thing is noise isolation from the outside. We could hear all the parties going on at 3 am, including some birthday parties :) And because the hostel is located in the city center in a small crowded space, it is never quiet outside. Therefore better isolation would help a lot. We could definitely feel that Madrid never sleeps, and we were immersed in it for 24h/d. We do not complain much about it, but we feel others might be sensitive about this subject. Third thing - I think the biggest one - was the bathroom door! These do not provide privacy when one person sits on a toilet. The gap between the doorframe and the door was at least 3cm wide. And the doorframe itself was made from shiny polished metal (aluminum, perhaps?). Very reflective, working like a mirror. Therefore the gap felt even wider. Fortunately, our room had a wall separating beds from the general closet/table/sink/mirror area, so one person could go to that "room" to obstruct the view. Again, not a significant thing for us, and we stayed in other hotels that were more pricey and had even less privacy.
